Engineered to blur the line between performance and lifestyle, the Q5A is built upon Dunlop’s track-proven technology, repackaged for riders seeking high performance on their daily commute. Key innovations include:
● Advanced JLB (Jointless Belt) Construction
The Q5A uses Aramid JLB construction in the front tyre (excluding some sizes) and Ultra Flexible Steel (UFS) JLB construction in the rear tyre, to help the tyre maintain its shape under acceleration, braking and cornering forces. For riders, this means a more planted, stable feel, improved comfort and greater confidence when riding at speed.
● Multi-Tread™ Compound Technology
A multi-compound tread design enhances both grip and durability. Softer rubber at the shoulders maximises cornering traction, while a more durable centre compound supports longer wear during highway use.
● Carbon R & Hi Silica Compound Technology
The Hi Silica compound provides better flexibility and improves traction in wet and low-temperature conditions. The Q5A also features a recalibrated long groove tread pattern that improves water evacuation and wet grip. Riders can expect predictable handling even when conditions change unexpectedly.
● Camber Tuning Technology (C.T.T.) & Impact Parry Technology (IPT)
A redesigned front tyre profile that is more convex to improve the turning force relative to the rear, increasing the contact area with the road, especially at lean angles. The result: smoother turn-in, better cornering stability, and improved feedback through the handlebars.
